Rekindling the Melodies of the Heart
After an almost 8-year hiatus, Kayla's love for music is reawakening, as she embarks on a new chapter in her life. The dream of working on a new small EP has lingered in her heart for a time, and now, with her little boys growing older, the time feels ripe to return to her musical roots.
Music and singing had once defined Kayla's identity, driving her with passion and ambition. She devoted countless hours to writing and had lofty aspirations, including the release of a professionally produced EP.
However, life took an unexpected turn when she got pregnant with her first son, and she was struck by the debilitating illness known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). Forced to cancel shows and focus on her health, Kayla's journey as a musician took a backseat as motherhood became her new identity.
Over the next 7 years, she joyfully embraced her role as a devoted mother to three incredible boys, cherishing every moment. Although she wouldn't change a thing, her musical pursuits lay dormant, making space for the profound experience of motherhood to shape her perspective and open her heart to new possibilities.
Now, as her youngest approaches the age of three, Kayla feels a renewed sense of freedom and purpose. With time and space re-entering her life, she picks up her guitar, reconnects with the keyboard, and enlists the help of like-minded musicians to create music that stirs the soul.
Through this artistic revival, Kayla rediscovers an old identity, one that existed before her days were filled with cleaning messes and changing diapers. The excitement of pursuing a passion that sets her soul on fire fills her with anticipation. This endeavor is not only for herself but also for her boys – to show them the power of following their dreams fearlessly and unapologetically.
With her eyes set on rediscovering her musical self and sharing her soulful melodies with the world once more, Kayla's journey is just beginning. To all those who have joined her on this path of renewal, she extends her heartfelt gratitude for being there at the inception of her rebirth.
